Well in some parts of the county it is starting to feel like spring, othersnot quite yet, but I wanted to start crafting things that look like they may represent the warmer weather to come. So I tried my hand at these really cute flower pot flower girls.

I painted 2 4″ pots green then stacking them and adding a wood ball for the head and added the spanish moss to the head then added the hat, these are all glue together with hot glue. For the rest of the piece I just decorated with small clay flower pots and sunflowers. A really easy craft project and a cute table centerpiece. The arms are just pieces of artifical ivy and you can glue them on or drill a really small hole and stick the wire end into the hole and glue to hold, that is what I did. To finish it off I tied a neck bow around the head and glued the whole project to a 4×4 piece of wood.

Have fun

Some of you may already know me through my blog, greetingarts, which I started nearly three years ago. I’m excited to be writing for Craft Tutorials, and plan on being your guide to tutorials, a bookmark for interesting articles, craft book reviewer, product tester, and your link to swaps and patterns. I don’t feel settled unless I craft every single day, and I like to try my hand at many different things.

I knit, crochet, sew, quilt, embroider, do papercrafts, and create softies. I’ve done traditional rug hooking, counted cross stitch, and plan to try needlepunch and needle felting in the near future. I have drawers full of beads, blocks of polymer clay, hundreds of rubber stamps, markers, colored pencils and crayons. Oh, and two different paper cutters. Crafts are a huge part of my life, and I’m happily addicted to creating things.

I hope you’ll be patient with me as I find my footing here, with a new audience and an unfamiliar blog platform. I’d like to share some of the things I know with you, discover new things together, and continue building our creative community. I think it’s going to be a lot of fun.

Vinyl lettering is a great way to decorate your house. It makes any project look professional and customized. This project is super easy!

What you need:

18″x10″ board (we suggest one with a routed edge)

Ribbon

Family Together is our favorite place to be Vinyl Lettering

How to’s:

Paint the board.

Sand the edges to give it an aged look.

Drill holes on the top edges of the board. Thread the ribbon through the holes. Be sure to knot the ribbon so it will not slip through the board.

Apply the “family” vinyl to the center of the board.

Apply the “together is our favorite place to be” vinyl to the lower right corner of the board.

And with that your project is complete! You can spray the board with matte or shiny acrylic spray. If you do that, make the ribbon the last step. If you have never used vinyl lettering, here is a little how to for using lettering:

Installation

Clean and dry area. (not necessary if you have just painted the area you are applying to)

Mark the area where you want to apply the vinyl.

Gently peel the tape away from the paper. Be sure that the vinyl is attaching to the tape.

Apply the tape with vinyl to the area you have prepared.

Secure the vinyl by rubbing gently using a firm object (credit card or popsicle stick).

Peel the tape away from the area making sure the vinyl is secured in the area you want it.

*When peeling the tape, the most effective way is to dit at an angle, moving slowly.

Removal

Apply a little heat to the vinyl using a hair dryer.

Gently peel the vinyl away from the area.

If you have any questions you can email us help@momsbestcreations.com You can also purchase vinyl wall lettering at http://www.momsbestcreations.com/cart
