Now is the perfect time of year to turn your home in to a cosy and modern place to live for a refreshing Spring  look. Getting new carpet installed is one of the quickest ways to get your home looking bright and stylish.

So what is funonthefloor? It’s a unique online interactive resource that shows you some creative inspiration and advice on carpet. Created by the UK’s top carpet manufacturers and retailers, you will get a broad view on how carpet can transform your rooms.

A brand new section which was recently included to the site is the Expert Panel, where you can ask questions to some of the UK’s leading interior experts. It’s already packed with creative insights from the panel so be sure to check this out.

A brief profile of the experts who are helping out:

Andrea Maflin – Interior Design Expert

Andrea Maflin is an interior design expert with many television appearances including Home Front and Real Rooms, both for the BBC, and Renovation Street for Carlton. She was the resident interiors expert on Channel 5′s Britain’s Worst DIY-er as well as presenting on UKTV Style’s Our House (Series 1 and 2). A contributor to numerous interiors magazines Andrea currently has a regular, weekly slot in The Sunday Times

Victoria Redshaw –Colour & Trend Expert

Victoria Redshaw is one of the trend forecasting industry’s brightest new stars. She’s got an uncanny instinct to read world events and social change and translate these into consumer trends.

Steve Elliott – Carpet Expert

Steve Elliot is the managing director of Associated Weavers and has worked in the carpet industry for 20 years. Steve is very active within the industry regularly dealing with manufacturers and suppliers.

Danielle Proud – Craft & Style Expert

Danielle launched the Fun on the Floor campaign in 2008 with the stunning Fun on the Floor house. Danielle Proud is the new face of modern craft. She runs her own company through which she sells her own design craft kits. She is also a regular column writer in the Sunday Times Style Magazine as well as making regular appearances on morning TV shows.

So there you have it, a mix of interior, style and material experts ready to answer questions.

There is also plenty to do on the website. You have the Lookbook where you can compile your own sketch book of your own favourite images from the site, save it and take to a carpet shop near you for reference.  Then there’s Danielle Proud spectacular Fun on the Floor house tour which she created to showcase interesting and diverse ways to use carpet around the house. The carpet moose head has to be seen to be believed! Danielle Proud spent around three months creating concept rooms using carpet on everything from chairs to bedposts. It is a truly inspiring journey on what can be achieved with a little imagination.
