Super Bowl is less than a week away. It is a big deal for mainly my younger brother, so I try and do something special for him that he can wear to school and around with his friends. These pins are great because they can be worn all throughout football season and even after. They are easy to make and the kids will enjoy being able to make something to show their team pride.

Materials Needed:

  • Brown craft foam
  • Scissors
  • Glitter glue or white glue and glitter
  • Pin backs
  • Hot glue gun or white craft glue
Instructions:
  1. From brown craft foam, cut out enough footballs so that there is one for each guest. If it’s baseball season, use white foam and cut circles or brown foam and cut out bats-you get the idea!
  2. Using glitter glue, write team names on the footballs or decorate it to look like a football by adding stitches and a border. If you don’t have glitter glue, use white craft glue then completely cover the glue with glitter. Allow to dry, then tap off excess glitter.
  3. After the pins are completely dry, use white craft glue or a hot glue gun to attach pin backs.

Tips:

  • Use colored glitter or glitter glue that matches your team colors. Blue and orange for Chicago Bears, black and yellow for Pittsburgh Steelers and so on.
  • Some team names can be really long. In this case, use decorate with the team’s colors instead of writing out the name.
