This is the perfect craft idea for many kids that will be going off to college. This homemade cool stationery allows them to write home with the benefit of having unique paper to do so. Plus it is very simple to do and most of the things you will probably already have in your home, especially if you are a constant crafter.

Materials Needed:

  • Paper (thicker paper or card stock works best)
  • Stones and pebbles, can be from your garden-just give them a rinse and dry
  • Watered down pain

Instructions:

1. Cover your work surface.

2. Add 1 teaspoon acrylic paint to a small spray bottle. Fill halfway with water; shake to mix. (For a more translucent solution, add more water.)

3. Arrange shells or pebbles on note cards or another paper item.

4. Spray paint mixture over shells or pebbles. Let dry for about 30 minutes before lifting objects.
