I was in charge of a craft day called Super Saturday and I needed some ideas for crafts. I found this really great Glass Etched Nativity on the web, actually I saw it on several web sites, with the instuctions on how to make it. The patterns and instructions all said it would take alot of time to cut out the intricut pattern, and then use the etching chemical. We just didn’t have that kind of time at this class so I came up with a better idea. I have a friend that has one of those cool vinyl cutters, the professional kind, she does store windows and stuff and she suggested we use a vinyl that looks just like etched glass. It is so awesome, it DOES looks just like etched glass, and only took about 15 or 20 minutes to complete. The hardest part, which really wasn’t hard, was getting it lined up and even on all sides. You can’t tell it is vinyl, after I completed the sample one, I showed some of my friends and didn’t tell them it wasn’t etched, they were amazed at how great it looked.
I love different types of crafts and really enjoy the ideas at Craft Tutorials, thanks everyone!

That is such cool. You can’t tell it’s vinyl! WOW. I really like that!
Please, Please, Please tell me how I can get a hold of the vinyl for this project. I, too, am in charge of Super Saturday and was wondering how in the world we would get that project done.
Thanks so much!
Just PM me and I will get you the ladies name that does them, they were really pretty cheap. The vinyl was only $8.00. Since I posted this I added a little piece that says “Oh Holy Night” above it and it really looks great. With the glass, wood and vinyl, the whole project was $15.00 each and it takes very little time, but the ladies would have to stain or paint there wood. Great Super saturday project.

Betty, Please give credit where it is due. I would appreciate it if you mentioned where you got the idea to cut it out in vinyl and the pattern for this Super Saturday craft. It is a copyrighted image of my creating, and I hope this person you have cutting vinyl for you is not reselling the image without my knowledge as I have only given permission for it to be used for Personal Crafts Only on my blog at one time.
Thanks,
Beverly

I am sorry, I didn’t realize this pattern had a copy right attached to it, there was nothing stating it was. The idea to use the vinyl was mine, I didn’t have time to do the actual etching so I just thought I would try vinyl to see if it would turn out, I did not use anyone elses idea.
Ladies it’s a image of our Lord can be found anywhere, let’s give credit where credit is due thank you JESUS for creating this image in the mind of your children so your saving power could be ministered through love and the light of your Holiness. We do need to thank the CREATOR of all things whether on earth or in Heaven let us be light barriers. There is only one that holds a copyright to all things good God himself and he is meant to be shared through the world. So lets start caring by sharing God with others, be Christ like at all times! Love and prayers,Bren
Just curious as to how long this person has had a copyright on this image. I done this image in Relief Society over 20 years ago the old fashioned way and there were no copyrights attached to the image. My image is much more intricate than the one pictured
